Roger Dean Black & White Medium details: Oil and pencil"In 1982, my sister bought the first album by the band Asia. It had a fantastic painting of a sea dragon on the sleeve. To my fourteen year old brain, this image by Roger was so astounding that I hunted down more of his work. It was his collaboration with the band Yes that I loved most. He created whole worlds, in which music and art became a complete experience. When I visited him, he gave me one of his favourite crayons to try. I cant bring myself
